Supporting local businesses is always a good idea! Here are several local San Diego beauty brands you can feel good about purchasing and adding to your daily routine:

Kopari

Kopari Beauty products have a 100% organic coconut oil base and include a coconut melt, coconut balm, cleansing oil, body glow, lip gloss, and more. Launched in 2015, Kopari has been getting a lot of good press lately and recently launched nationwide at Sephora. Read more about this natural skincare brand here.

Beauty Bakerie

Popular online San Diego-based makeup brand Beauty Bakerie is opening a brick and mortar store in Mission Valley Mall, near Macy’s, this weekend. Read more here. Started in 2011 by CEO Cashmere Nicole, this bright and cheerful dessert-themed cosmetics company has had great success with their Instagram account and collaborating with Internet beauty sensations. Their most popular products include smudge-free waterproof lip whips and Illuminator highlighting powder.

COOLA Suncare

Carlsbad company Coola Suncare started in 2004 and has won many awards for their luxury healthy sunscreen products, including sunscreen spray, SPF makeup primer, SPF BB+ cream, lip balm with sunscreen, organic sunless tanner with SPF, and more. You can find their products at spas, Ulta stores, Sephora, and more.

R.D. Alchemy

Founded over 10 years ago by chemist/herbalist Regina Di Silvestro, this former Little-Italy retailer has moved completely online, where you can shop for a large variety of natural beauty products such as makeup, hair products, lotions, body wash, aromatherapy, facial skincare, and more. Dr. Bronner’s

Vista-based natural personal care company seen in many health food stores such as Whole Foods. They take social responsibility seriously. Best known for their All-One soaps that are the top selling soap in the U.S. natural marketplace, read more here.

Peachy Keen Perfume
